If you are organised enough to be thinking ahead and already planning your Christmas presents, why not have a go at making some bath bombs for your loved ones? They are easy to make and add a little fun and luxury to anyone’s bath time.

Here is a simple recipe for relaxing festive bath bombs to get you started:

3/4 Cup (or 220g) Sodium Bicarbonate

1/2 Cup ( or 115g) Citric Acid

1/4 Cup (or 50g) Apricot Oil

4-5 drops of red or green food colour

25 drops Mandarin Oil

5 Drops Ylang Ylang Oil

A small amount of gold or red mica to decorate.

Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix together thoroughly. Then press your mixture into a mould and leave to set for at least 24hrs before popping them out. You can use anything from chocolate moulds to ice cube moulds if you don’t have access to bath bomb moulds.

Once set and removed from the mould, take a paint brush and lightly dust with Mica to give it a touch of seasonal sparkle.
