Spring is in the air and while many of us are enjoying the vibrant colours it brings, it can be a difficult time for asthma sufferers. The weather keeps changing from cold and damp to warm and dry and the pollen count is rising, both of which can be triggers for an asthma flare up. So here is a blend for those asthma sufferers to help make breathing a little bit easier.
Myrtle oil can be substituted with Rosemary oil but this will make it more stimulating for the brain so will be less soothing at night.
Add 8 drops to a vaporiser or put a couple of drops onto a tissue to inhale. Alternatively, mix a few drops with a tablespoon of carrier oil and add it to a relaxing bath.
Please note that this blend is designed to help with prevention between attacks and to help ease symptoms alongside your current medication. We are not recommending it as an alternative to any medication recommended by your doctor. If you find that any essential oil causes or worsens asthma symptoms, stop immediately.
