Virgin organic coconut oil is cold pressed from the copra of Cocos nucifera and sourced from the Solomon Islands. Being virgin and unrefined, it keeps the natural coconut aroma that refined coconut oil loses. It is solid at room temperature and melts to a clear liquid at around 24 degrees Celsius, so it works as both a solid butter and a liquid oil depending on the day. • Skincare formulating: Use in the oil phase of balms, body butters, creams and lotions. It sets firm as it cools, so it helps give whipped butters their body.
• Soap making: A core cold process soap oil. Its lauric acid content produces a hard bar with a large, bubbly lather, and it is usually used at around 20% to 30% of the oil blend.
• Haircare: Warm a small amount between the palms and work through the lengths as a conditioning treatment, or use it in hair oil and mask formulations.
• Massage and body oils: Melt and blend with a liquid carrier so it stays pourable, then add essential oils at your preferred dilution.
• If it has set solid: Stand the sealed container in warm water to melt it. Repeated melting and setting does not harm the oil.
