Is groundnut oil the same as peanut oil?

Yes. Groundnut oil, arachis oil and peanut oil are three names for the same oil pressed from Arachis hypogaea. In cosmetic ingredient lists it is usually written as Arachis Hypogaea (Peanut) Oil.

What is the difference between cold pressed and refined peanut oil?

Cold pressed peanut oil is mechanically pressed without heat or chemical refining, so it keeps more of its natural colour, aroma and flavour. Refined peanut oil is processed to be lighter in colour and more neutral in taste. Range Products supplies the cold pressed, unrefined type.

Can I use cold pressed peanut oil for frying?

It can be used for pan frying and sauteing. As an unrefined oil it generally has a lower smoke point than heavily refined peanut oil, so keep the heat moderate rather than using it for very high temperature deep frying.
