Pumpkin Seed Oil (Cucurbita pepo)

Pumpkin seed oil is cold pressed from the seeds of Cucurbita pepo and is a rich, deep green carrier oil used in skincare formulating, massage blends and soap making. Range Products supplies it 100% natural, with no GMOs or artificial additives, in 100ml, 500ml and 1L sizes. It is a heavier carrier oil with a distinctly nutty aroma, so formulators usually blend it with a lighter oil rather than using it on its own. • Skincare formulating: Use as part of the oil phase in balms, salves, facial oils and creams. Because it is a heavier oil with strong natural colour, most formulators use it at 5% to 20% of the oil phase alongside a lighter carrier.
• Massage blends: Blend with a lighter carrier such as sweet almond or grapeseed oil to soften the texture and the aroma, then add essential oils to taste.
• Soap making: Works as a specialty additive oil in cold process soap, where it contributes to a rich bar and lends its natural colour.
• Hair and scalp: Used in conditioning treatments and hair oil blends. Apply sparingly, as it is a heavy oil.
• Patch test first: As with any new oil, patch test on a small area of skin before wider use.
