Australia Day is coming up and we all know how much most kids love those temporary tattoos. What nobody loves however, is trying to get them off again afterwards, and it sure can take a very long time for them to rub off of their own accord. If, like many parents, your child is not the kind to sit patiently in the bath while you frantically scrub at it before the water turns cold, then this tip could help you.

All you need is a piece of kitchen towel or tissue and some coconut oil. Give your child something to distract them, cover the area with the coconut oil and gently but firmly rub in a circular motion, adding a little more oil at a time, until it comes off. It is as simple as that. They are happily watching a cartoon or looking at a book so don’t get impatient and it is gentle on the skin so won’t leave them with an angry red mark to worry about. Win!
